How quickly the seasons shift, leading us from the vibrant colors of fall into the joyful spirit of Christmas—a time that truly embodies warmth, generosity, and celebration! As the air turns crisp and the holiday lights begin to twinkle, I find myself reflecting on the blessings of the year and the joy this season brings to our community. This Christmas season is especially meaningful as I celebrate my 31st year as a State Farm Agent. Since starting my journey in 1994 in Escanaba, MI, and moving to Petoskey in 1995—where I was blessed to meet my wonderful wife, Phyllis—our family has grown and flourished much like the spirit of the holidays.

Phyllis, a dedicated real estate agent originally from Indian River, has shared with me the breathtaking beauty of our area, from Burt Lake to Crooked River, all the more magical when dusted with winter snow and holiday cheer. Together, we are grateful for our five children and nine grandchildren, whose laughter and love fill our home with the true spirit of Christmas—a season of togetherness, joy, and giving.

During this festive time, we cherish traditions like gathering around the Christmas tree, sharing meals, and enjoying the cozy comforts of home. Even as winter approaches, we stay active with indoor pickleball at North Central Michigan College and look forward to peaceful moments on the inland waterway, now quiet beneath a blanket of snow.
